Here at Your Pest Control, we charge a flat fee of £50.00. That's it nothing more. The only exception to this is if high access equipment is needed, eg: the use of a cat ladder. The work will now need at least two men to be completed safely.
Some pest control firms will tell you they only charge £40.00 or so. When they arrive at your premises you will find they have add-ons like charging you for using ladders, a mileage charge, V.A.T. etc. Your bill is suddenly increasing and is now approaching £95.00 - £125.00. When employing the services of one of the cheaper firms please keep these points in mind.
Some of the bigger firms will charge you anything up to £350.00. Essentially you are paying for the chairman's bonus and the shareholder's dividends.
We all do the same job basically (inject the nest with insecticide). You are getting the services of a national organization but think about customer service after the event, if you need to call them back.
Lets say a company wants to charge you £300 + V.A.T. at 20%. Your final bill is £360.Thats £60 in V.A.T (phew). We only charge £50.00 for the complete job.
By far the best option would be to engage a local company with a fixed price. You will invariably get a better service. Charges normally range from £50.00 to £70.00. The only time costs could rise is if the nest is inaccessible and becomes a two-man job.
